Where the Green Grass Grows

We have been wanting to put new grass down in our back (side) yard for quite a while now, so over the three day weekend last week we finally had enough time to actually get it done. We started working on it a couple of weekends before doing all the prep work like removing the old grass, and evening out the soil. That was actually the most time consuming and difficult part of the process. Although it took a lot of hard work, Kyle and I had a fun time sweating it out together and are glad we could do it ourselves.
Here are pictures of the progression. We ended up getting 150 pallets of sod!! Here are 90 of them in the back of the Four Runner. Abbey is excited about her new grass as we started to lay out the sod. More "before" pictures. Kyle and Abbey are already playing on the grass.

This isnt the final "after" picture as we still have a few more pieces of sod to lay but I think you can tell what a difference the green grass makes!
